Whether you need to 3D print a prototype for class, craft a custom design, or experiment with hand tools, ThunderLab is your campus creative hub. No prior experience is needed—we're here to help you bring your ideas to life!

How to Use the Space

Drop-In: Stop by during open hours to use equipment, work on personal or class projects, and get hands-on assistance.
Borrow Tools: Want to use equipment outside the lab? Fill out the Equipment Checkout Form.
Reserve for Groups: Faculty and student groups looking to host a project or class session can submit the Request to Use Makerspace Form (minimum 3 business days notice required).

What Can You Make?

Your imagination is the limit! ThunderLab supports STEM coursework, humanities projects, creative hobbies, and personal experiments. Past projects include:

Custom 3D-printed fossil replicas for Geology classes
STEM teaching tools and 3D scanned models
Personal designs created in Tinkercad or downloaded from Thingiverse
Laser-engraved artwork, signs, and custom wood/acrylic cuts

Not just for STEM: Ideas on how to use MakerSpaces in humanities and writing classes.
