Welcome to ThunderLab Makerspace!

Whether you need to 3D print a prototype for class, craft a custom design, or experiment with hand tools, ThunderLab is your campus creative hub. No prior experience is needed—we're here to help you bring your ideas to life!

  • Location: Building 16, Room 106

  • Open Hours: Mondays & Wednesdays | 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM (Hours update each quarter)

How to Use the Space

  • Drop-In: Stop by during open hours to use equipment, work on personal or class projects, and get hands-on assistance.

  • Borrow Tools: Want to use equipment outside the lab? Fill out the Equipment Checkout Form.

  • Reserve for Groups: Faculty and student groups looking to host a project or class session can submit the Request to Use Makerspace Form (minimum 3 business days notice required).

What Can You Make?

Your imagination is the limit! ThunderLab supports STEM coursework, humanities projects, creative hobbies, and personal experiments. Past projects include:

  • Custom 3D-printed fossil replicas for Geology classes 

  • STEM teaching tools and 3D scanned models

  • Personal designs created in Tinkercad or downloaded from Thingiverse

  • Laser-engraved artwork, signs, and custom wood/acrylic cuts

Stephaney Puchalski
