BAS | Bachelor of Applied Science: Bachelor of Applied Science students take two more years of upper-level coursework at the Highline College. | Degree |
AAS | Associate of Applied Science: Associate of Applied Science degrees are generally designed to provide direct workforce skills and are not designed for transfer. | Degree |
AAS-T | Associate of Applied Science Transfer: Associate of Applied Science-Transfer degrees are professional-technical degrees a core of general education courses commonly accepted for transfer. These are specifically associated with one single 4-year college or university for transfer. | Degree |
AS-T | Associate in Science (AS) Transfer: Associate in Science-Transfer (AS-T) degree is intended to prepare you for transfer in science, mathematics and other pre-professional fields. | Degree |
DTA/MRP | Direct Transfer/Major Related Program: Major Related Programs (MRP) help students prepare to transfer into high demand bachelor’s degree programs that require specific courses in the first two years. Each MRP is based on one of the statewide transfer agreements. | Degree |

Associate in Arts - Direct Transfer: The Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) associate degree is designed to transfer to most Bachelor of Arts degrees at all four-year colleges and universities in Washington state. | Degree |
C | Certificate - One year or less: Certificates are awarded after completing a shorter program (90 credits or less) that concentrates on a specific expertise rather than an entire course of study. Certificates are not transferrable. | Certificate |
