Human Services professionals create positive change in their communities by working with diverse populations including adolescents, aging adults, individuals with disabilities, refugees and immigrants, individuals experiencing substance use and homelessness, and survivors of domestic violence. Our program prepares you for frontline roles in government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and educational settings, where you'll support and empower children, adults, families, and communities.
The Human Services curriculum covers a wide range of topics including case management, counseling techniques, ethical standards and professional conduct, community resources and advocacy, cultural responsiveness, and substance use disorders.
Hands-On Experience
Learning extends beyond the classroom through our field experience program, where you'll apply your knowledge in real-world settings. This practical training gives you valuable experience and professional connections before graduation.

Options include Human Services and Substance Use Disorder Professional AAS degrees and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Services.
Courses
Courses are open to all students, including those completing an AAS or as electives for students pursuing an AA Transfer degree.
