With equity-based, multimodal reading lists and revision conferencing, English courses at Highline College offer students the effective, creative, and persuasive written communication skills necessary for other courses, personal needs and transfer to a 4-year degree.

At Highline, we want to ensure your success in courses and some programs require English 101. Most students with a GED, High School Diploma, or Running Start status are ready for and take English 101 in their first quarter.
