Improving Email Accessibility
When sending an email to a broad distribution, make sure it is accessible to individuals with limited or no vision. This is also important for those who may not see or receive images that are embedded in the email itself.
For readers who are blind or have low-vision, use alternative (alt) text to describe images. The alt text is read by screen readers. It is also visible within the email body when an image is not displayed.
Adding bulleted lists and tables to your text helps communicate structure, order, and relationships in the text for screen readers and Braille writers.
