Payroll Deadlines for February 16-28 Pay Period

Guest post by Gretchen Erhart, Assistant Director, Human Resources

For the current pay period (Feb. 16-28), note the following deadlines and reminders.

For step-by-step instructions on entering time and absences, see the ctcLink Help and Resources page.

Employees

All employee groups listed below must enter time and absences in the ctcLink system by Feb. 26 at 10 a.m.

Classified, Overtime-Eligible Exempt, Hourly and Students

  • Enter all time worked for this payroll period; and/or
  • Request any leave time taken for this payroll period. If no leave time was used for this pay period, then no leave request is required.

Full-Time Faculty, Part-Time Faculty and Exempt

  • Request any leave time taken for this payroll period. If no leave time was used for this pay period, then no leave request is required.

Supervisors

Supervisors need to do the following by Feb. 26 at 5 p.m.:

  • Approve all time reported and absence/leave requested.
  • Contact all your employees who have not submitted the required (1) time reports for time worked, and (2) absence requests for time taken.

Check your email regularly and often for payroll communications and approvals requiring your immediate action.

Note on Premium Overtime

The ctcLink system is not currently set up to calculate premium overtime correctly on weeks where there is a holiday. On these weeks, overtime must be entered manually by Payroll for those employees who worked more than 40 hours in order for the system to pay out correctly, or as premium overtime.

If you are an overtime-eligible employee, and worked overtime hours (over 40 hours) during the the week of Feb. 15, 2021, email Sue Paulson and/or Megan Marchand so they can confirm you were paid correctly.
