Highline Welcomes the World Week: Dr. Cabeiri Robinson will present “No Refugees in Asia: How Some Forcibly Displaced People became ‘Migrants’ instead of ‘Refugees’ at the End of World War II… and Why This Still Matters Today.”
Robinson is a socio-cultural anthropologist, who has done long term field research with refugees, migrants and forcibly displaced people in Pakistan and India. She has worked in humanitarian missions with the International Committee of the Red Cross, and is an associate professor in the International Studies, Comparative Religions and South Asian Studies programs. She is also the Director of the Interdisciplinary PhD Program in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle.
