Whether it’s the devastating hurricanes in Houston and Puerto Rico, or the on-going wildfires in California, natural disasters have a tendency to force us to look internally at our own personal preparation efforts. During these times you can’t help but ask “what if it was our home that was threatened” or “did I ever replace that measly gallon of emergency water I used on our camping trip because I was too lazy to run to the store….”. These questions are natural to have when we see hours of disaster footage on the news. Our advice – Don’t ignore them and move one – embrace them and act upon it.
And we’re here to help you! Come join Francesca Fender and Dr. Eric Baer next October 19th at 12:30 PM to learn what natural disasters we face here in western Washington (spoiler alert: major earthquake zone) and how to prepare yourself and your family.
Students, faculty and staff are all welcome!
Plus, participants will be able to take home one free emergency blanket to add to your own home emergency supply kit!
