Adrienne Haggerty
Triple Threat
Highline College student athlete Adrienne Haggerty excels on and off the court.
She plays two sports for the Thunderbirds: basketball and volleyball, challenges herself academically, and is passionate about fostering diverse communities.
“I’m currently working on getting my associate degree, and I hope to succeed as either an athlete at a high level of play, or a become a pediatrician,” Haggerty said.
Highline’s variety of academic and athletic programs was a natural fit for Haggerty.
“I primarily chose to attend Highline because I was able to pursue both volleyball and basketball after high school,” Haggerty said. “I didn’t want to give either sport up, and Highline gave me the opportunity to continue with both.”
While athletics and academics are her primary focus, Haggerty has other new passions she’s pursuing and learning about.
“Besides being able to continue to play both of the sports that I love, Highline has showed me a side of cultural diversity that has impacted the way I interact with people,” Haggerty said. “I’m fond of the cultural diversity at Highline. There are so many different faces, and styles, and people. No one is the same.”
Regardless of whether it’s on the court, in the classroom, or out in her community, Haggerty is a rising star who’s already a triple threat.
