January 8, 2008 The WSSSC All Student Services Planning Committee cordially invites you to join us for our Statewide Conference. The conference, scheduled for April 9 – 11, 2008 at the Yakima Convention Center, is a chance to engage in professional development and networking opportunities with your colleagues from across the state and from every department within our colleges. The conference theme: Educational Excellence: Engagement, Equity & Empowerment embraces and epitomizes the essence and comprehensive nature of our work in Student Services. As professionals, we strive for educational excellence by developing and delivering programs, activities, and services that engage and empower our students. We continue to seek ways to create inclusive and equitable opportunities on our campus. Student Services is about Educational Excellence - not just for our students, but for us as well. Take a moment to review the breakout sessions and keynote speakers. The Planning Committee has put together a conference agenda that we hope will: · stimulate your thinking; · energize your leadership skills; · rejuvenate your creativity; · connect you with colleagues; and · build your professional competencies. Colleges registering 10 or more staff before March 14, 2008 will get a “special registration rate”. Looking forward to seeing you in April!
