COMPASS Exception

All new students are expected to take the COMPASS  or COMPASS ESL placement test unless one of the following three situations apply.

  •  You have completed college level English Composition and Intermediate Algebra at an accredited college or university, with in the past five years with a grade of 2.0 or higher. You must have completed both subjects to be exempt from testing. Submit your unofficial college transcripts or grade reports to the Educational Planning Center.

  • You have earned a B.A., B.S., or A.A. degree. Come to the Educational Planning Center with an unofficial copy of your degree.

  • If you have taken the COMPASS or ASSET Test at another college within the past two years submit official copies of your scores to the Testing Center.
