Sample Math Items and Diagnostic Study Guide

Please read these directions on how to use The COMPASS Pretest and Diagnostic Test Study Guide.

1. Take the pretest in Pre-algebra, Algebra, College Algebra, or Trigonometry.

2. Grade the test (pretest answer key on page 7).

3. Look at the problems you missed and which content area of math is listed above the problem.

4. Use the study guide on page 5 (Pre-algebra) or on page 6 (Algebra, College Algebra, or Trigonometry) to help you locate the material you need to study.

5. The books mentioned on the guide can be found in the library or purchased in the bookstore.
