Mission statement:
Pi Sigma continues the National Phi Theta Kappa mission of
providing and recognizing the scholarship of students. We
provide leadership, fellowship, and community service to the
students of Highline. In thus the hopes of creating a stronger
and better future for our generation and the generations to
come.
How to Join:
To join our chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, you must have
completed 12 college level credits with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Once achieved, submit your
PTK
application plus your unofficial transcript to Student Programs in Building 8 along with
your $60.00 USD application fee.
Checks can be made out to "HCC." Please write your
Student ID on submitted check.
On going events:
Operation Take-out
- On the third Tuesday of every month, Pi Sigma members
volunteer at the Des Moines food bank as part of Operation
Takeout. This program recruits students to pick up a month's
worth of groceries at the food bank, then drive them to
community members who are unable to leave their homes.
- Meet in the East parking lot by building 6 near the
totem pole. For further information, please
