Transfer Rules to Remember

If you have completed an AA/AS degree, you have 60 days to prepare for your departure or transfer.
WIthin your 60-day grace period, you need to be accepted into another SEVIS-approved school and obtain a new I-20.
If you have not completed any degree, you have 15 days to prepare for your departure or transfer.
If you transfer to another school, you have to resume your study in the next available quarter or less than 5 months, whichever is earlier.
