Dormitory
A local hotel just ten minutes from campus offers dormitory-style living for Highline international students.
As with any choice, there are advantages and disadvantages to consider
if you wish to live in a dormitory.
Advantages
- The dormitory is located 10 minutes from campus (walking)
- You live with other international students
- Easy to make friends
- Meet people from all over the world
- You can plan and participate in group activities like BBQs and beach parties
- You can cook for yourself in a shared kitchen
- You can request an airport pickup
- A continental breakfast is included
Things to think about…
- If you have a double, you will share your space with a roommate whose habits are different from yours
- You have to shop and cook for yourself (shared kitchen)
- You will not have daily interaction with typical American family life
Costs
Reservation Deposit: $100 upon reservation (can be applied to first
month payment)
Application Fee: $60 upon arrival
Double Occupancy (two students per room): $495 per month
Single Occupancy (one student per room): $795 per month
Wireless Internet Access: $10 per month
Security Deposit (refundable on checkout): $100
Additional costs and rules may apply.
As of September 1, 2008, rent payment will increase by $5.00 per
month.

- All utilities included (electricity, water, sewer)
- 24 hour concierge to assist the students
- Bed, microwave, refrigerator, and study table in every room
- Coin-operated laundry facility on site
- Swimming pool access
