Diploma Requirements

Our High School Completion Program offers students who have had their high school education interrupted an opportunity to earn their High School diploma through Highline Community College.

Eligibility

On the first day of the quarter in which you plan to begin school, you must be:

  • Twenty-one years or older
    OR

  • 18-20 years and have earned high school credit prior to July 2004
    OR

  • have passed the WASL exam and are at least 18 years old

If you are sixteen or seventeen years old, you may apply to Highline
Enhancement program.

Steps to Apply

Complete Step 1  through Step 5
by the application deadline.

Quarter Application Deadline
Fall, 2008 September 10
Winter, 2009 December 24
Spring, 2009 March 18


Step 1
Check eligibility requirements.

Step 2
Complete the Highline Community College online admissions application.

Step 3
Obtain official copies of all your transcripts from previous high schools and colleges where credit was earned. Official transcripts must be received in a school sealed envelope. We cannot accept opened or faxed transcripts.

Step 4
Submit your high school transcripts to Highline's Admissions/Entry Services office. Pay a nonrefundable application fee. This fee includes your COMPASS assessment and, when enrolled in classes, your student ID card.

Step 5
Take the complete COMPASS assessment. Photo ID is required to take the assessment.

Step 6
