Entry Codes
An entry code is a five-digit random number that is needed
to enroll for a class when permission or a pre-requisite is
required and Highline does not have a record that the student
has met the pre-requisite.
If you are trying to register for a class that requires
instructor permission, you need to contact the instructor directly.
To request an entry code for classes that do not require
"permission", you will need to provide documentation that you
satisfy the pre-requisite.
If you do not have documentation but believe that your work or life
experience qualifies you to enroll for the class, contact the
instructor.
Advisors will accept any of the following for documentation:
- Unofficial high school transcript
- Unofficial transcript from Highline or another college
- COMPASS or ASSET scores
You can request an entry code by speaking directly with the instructor of the class,
or by stopping at the Educational Planning Center (Building 6, second
floor) or by emailing
edplanning@highline.edu. If you email, include the following
information and submit your documentation as an email scan
1. Your Name
2. Your SID Number
3. Name of class/es and number (example Psychology 100 or
Writing 101)
4. Quarter you plan to take the class
We will send your entry code via your email address unless you
request delivery to a different email address or via phone. Every
effort will be made to respond to your entry code request within 24
business hours.
