Assistant
Coach - Wendi Janway
Wendi is in her third year as assistant coach with the
program.
As a player at HCC, she was a defensive wizard who could
play any position, displaying tremendous instinct. As a
coach, she brings an intensity and focus to the infield
where she instills in players the drive to continuously
improve and work hard. With a vast knowledge of all
defensive aspects of the game, she is able to teach
individual strategy for each position. She also brings a
knowledge of baserunning strategy. |

Assistant Coach - Josh Magallanes
Josh is in his
second season working with the team. He has been
a valuable asset to our pitcher, working with them on the
mental aspect of pitching and ball movement. He volunteers
his time between his other HCC duties to work with pitchers, pitch batting
practice and call pitches during home games. Josh played
men's fastpitch in Arizona before moving to Washington
state. He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University and is
the Director of Running Start at HCC. |

Assistant Coach - Gus Hall
Gus worked with the Enumclaw High School softball
program and Enumclaw Sting ASA team for 15 years before
joining the Highline program as the outfield coach
in 2007-08. He knows the game well and always
expects his teams to have
thinking players. His specialty is in building a well-conditioned athlete. Coach Hall is a King
County Sheriff and experiences many unsightly situations
that most of us never hope to see. Gus and his wife Nancy
live in Enumclaw and have three daughters. |
