Linn Benton Tournament

Today is Saturday ... August 30, 2008..

Quick update….. Rounds 2 and 3 results

We are at the Lynn Benton Tournament today…

Our 8 am match was against the powerful Spokane falls Community College (one of the perennial Powers of the NWAACC..)
We lost the first game 21-25 … hard fought but we missed 7 serves
The Second game was also hard fought we only missed 4 serves and won 25-22
The third game we jumped on them early and changed sides at 8-5 …
We held on to win 15-13  ...  Lots of energy.. Communication and effort …. I liked it….!!

ROUND # 2

HCC vs Whatcom
 HCC won 25-22; 27-25 not as much energy. And we almost lost the 2^nd game….

 ROUND #3 (final game in pool)
 HCC vs Perennial Power house Clackamas….
HCC won 25-23 and 25- 22

HCC finishes FIRST in their POOL…
Next match at 5 pm HCC vs the # 4 team from the other pool…

ROUND #4

HCC defeated LBCC 25-22; 26-24

ROUND #5

 HCC lost to Edmonds 22-25; won 25-18; lost the 3^rd game 15-10…
We missed too many serves in the 3^rd game…. To win it… 

It was nice to hear the other coaches say…. “HIGHLINE is BACK”…..
