The Highline Community College Men's Basketball team is excited to
announce its signed recruiting class for the 2008/2009 season:
Evan Berndt 5'11" Guard
West Valley HS (Yakima)
"Evan is a winner. He has had great success in high
school as a team leader. He will bring a tremendous amount of maturity
and skill to our guard rotation."
Jerome Bland 6'2" Guard
Auburn Mountainview HS
"Jerome is a very crafty guard who can handle the ball
and score in a variety of ways. He is truly a team-first young man who
will fit well into our program."
Julian Fernandez 6'3" Guard
Enumclaw HS
"Julian has just started to tap his potential. He has
a great feel for the game and handles and shoots it well. We look
forward to his increased assertiveness on the floor."
John Morine 6'6" Forward
Mount Rainier HS
"John
is as fundamental an inside player as I have seen at this level. He has
a great array of moves inside that make him very effective offensively.
He is very tough and plays hard all the time."
Kyle Perry 6'9" Forward
King HS (Riverside, CA)
"Kyle is a versatile big guy who can step out
and shoot the ball and get things done inside. His versatility is
consistent with what we like to do offensively."
Aaron Stevens 6'7" Forward
South Anchorage HS
"Aaron is a very physically gifted basketball
player who is used to winning. His work in the weight room will help him
become a tremendous force on the court."
Dan Young 6'10" Forward
Federal Way HS
"Dan is a big, strong presence who likes to be a big guy. He will have a
tremendous impact next year because of his work ethic and desire to play
at the 4-year level."
