MINUTES OF SPECIAL BOARD OF TRUSTEES’ MEETING

September 29, 2005

Chairman Mike Emerson called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. by conference call into speaker telephone located in Building 1 Conference Room.

After some discussion regarding the State Board for Community and Technical College Resolution 05-09-21, the following motion was made:

Motion:

In accordance with the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges Resolution 05-09-21, the Trustees of Highline Community College authorize the full waiver of operating fee for students from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida who were displaced as a result of Hurricane Katrina and who seek entrance into Highline Community College. This waiver will extend from fall quarter 2005 through summer quarter 2006.

The motion was moved by Michael Allan and seconded by Elizabeth Chen.

The motion carried.

The conference call meeting was adjourned at 8:45 a.m.
