Event:               Pronunciation lab for health care professionals

Dates, times:    Noon to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays

                              9-11 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays

Location:            Highline Community College’s main campus, Building 30, room 212

Highline’s main campus is located midway between Seattle and Tacoma at South 240th Street and Pacific Highway South (Highway 99); address: 2400 S. 240th St., Des Moines, WA 98198.

Description:      The drop-in lab is open to nonnative English speakers who want to improve their pronunciation of medical terms, phrases and sentences used for health care jobs. The lab features “American Speechsounds for Healthcare Professionals” software that records the speaker’s voice and compares it to the voice on the software.
