Location:            Highline Community College’s main campus, Building 25 (Library), fourth floor

Highline’s main campus is located midway between Seattle and Tacoma at South 240th Street and Pacific Highway South (Highway 99); address: 2400 S. 240th St., Des Moines, WA 98198.

Artist’s bio:      Joyce Roberts specializes in acrylic paintings, but she has also used a wide variety of materials, including pastels, pen and ink, pencil and mixed media, and styles   from realistic to abstract/pop art expressions.

                              She came to Washington state 38 years ago from the San Francisco Bay Area. Her training includes coursework at the University of California-Berkeley and Cuesta College-San Luis Obispo in California, as well as instruction from professional artists in Seattle, Portland and Morro Bay, Calif.

                              Her artwork has been exhibited in many Bay Area locations and San Luis Obispo, as well as juried art shows around the Puget Sound.

Highline Community College was founded in 1961 as the first community college in King County. With approximately 10,000 students and 350,000 alumni, it is one of the state’s largest institutions of higher education. The college offers a wide range of academic transfer and professional-technical education programs, with day, evening and weekend classes. Alumni include former Seattle Mayor Norm Rice, entrepreneur Junki Yoshida and Washington state’s poet laureate Sam Green.
