Highline’s main campus is located midway between Seattle and Tacoma at South 240th Street and Pacific Highway South (Highway 99); address: 2400 S. 240th St., Des Moines, WA 98198.

Description:          Community members and area high school students or recent graduates who received tech-prep credits from Highline Community College, and their families, are invited to HCC’ s Tech-Prep Night, Tuesday, June 5th, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., in building 8.  Refreshments will be provided.  Tech-Prep is college credit awarded to high school students for professional technical courses they take in high school that have articulation agreements with Highline.  Students must receive a B or better in the course to earn the credit. Last year Highline awarded Tech-Prep credit to more than 600 students at 25 high schools. HCC belongs to two Tech-Prep consortia – the the Puget Sound Career Consortium (including Highline, Renton, Tukwila, South Kitsap, and Federal Way School Districts, and Puget Sound Skills Center) and the South King County Tech Prep Consortium (including Federal Way, Renton, Enumclaw, White River, Puyallup, Auburn, Kent, Tahoma, and Sumner School Districts, and the Puget Sound Skills Center).

Highline Community College was founded in 1961 as the first community college in King County.
