The Highline Printing Program was awarded 1 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze plaques  at the annual Washington State Gallery awards banquet.  These awards will add to the 13 local and international awards for printing excellence the program has received since submitting entries the last 3 years.

There was no student category this year. Highline was the only college to submit entries and was competing against shops with up to a hundred + employees and more costly and sophisticated presses. The judges were aware only of the processes used during the production process as they viewed the samples submitted.

The plaques and sample pieces will be available for viewing in the print shop (building 16) or during the 2006 Portfolio Review in the Highline Student Union June 1 & 2.
