Departments and Programs
Limitation of Liability: The college’s total liability for claims arising from a contractual relationship with the student in any way related to classes or programs shall be limited to the tuition and expenses paid by the student to the college for those classes or programs. In no event shall the college be liable for any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of earnings or profits. Noncollege Property: The college assumes no responsibility for any damage to or loss of any noncollege personal property. Student Records Privacy: Students (or parents, where applicable) have the right to do the following: (1) inspect and review the student’s educational records, (2) request the amendment of such record(s), (3) consent to disclosure of personally identifiable information contained in such records (absent a legal excepton to the consent requirement), (4) file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures by the college to comply with the requirements of FERPA, and (5) obtain a copy of the college’s student records policy. In compliance with state/federal requirements, disclosure may be authorized for the purposes of state and federal financial aid, Hope/Lifetime Learning tax credits, academic transcripts, assessment, or accountability research.
