Training and Development: Classified Training Fund Classified Staff Training Committee HCC and the WPEA are committed to sponsoring training and development opportunities to all College classified staff. The objective of the Classified Training Committee is to provide opportunities for the development of employees and to make the most efficient and economic use of employee resources in accomplishing the goals of the College. Classified Staff Training Fund The College agrees to budget not less than $10,000 for training classified staff each year. The Training Committee may authorize payment for tuition, fees, required books and other training materials, conferences, workshops, and seminars. Any event which enhances the employee’s ability to do his/her job and/or helps the employee’s career advancement at Highline will be considered for funding, to a maximum of $400.00 per employee for as long as funds remain available. The following items do not qualify for funding under the classified Training Program:
>> Learn more details and information on how to apply to use this fund President's Education Fund The President has generously set aside $10,000 for Staff Development toward educational degrees. These funds will be used to help Classified Staff pursue education in degree and certificate programs. The CSTC will publicize requests for this fund near the beginning of the quarter for Fall, Winter, and Spring. Each quarter will cap at 1/3 of the fund total, with any unused funds carrying over to the next quarter. >> Learn more details and information on how to apply to use this fund
