CPR/AED & FIRST AID TRAINING FOR FACULTY AND STAFF

During the week of March 22nd Highline Community College will provide CPR/AED & First Aid training free to faculty and staff.

·         Check an unconscious victim
·        
Recognize an emergency and overcome the reluctance to act
·         Recognize & care for choking, breathing and cardiac emergencies in victims12-years
      old and older.
·         Prevent heart disease
·         Use the EMS system/9-1-1
·         Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

·         Check an unconscious victim
·        
Recognize an emergency and overcome the reluctance to act
·        
Minimize the effects of shock
·        
Treat sudden illnesses, including poisonings and heat and cold emergencies
·        
Perform First aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, and injuries to bones,
      joints, and muscles, such as sprains and strains
·         Use the EMS system/9-1-1

CPR/AED & First Aid Schedule - All sessions are in Building 22-205

 

CPR/AED – choose one:

Wednesday, March 24:

Class# 1 – 8:45am to 12 noon

Class# 2 - 1:15pm to 4:30pm

 

 

First Aid – choose one:

Thursday, March 25:

Class #1 - 9:00am to 12 noon

Class #2 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm
