Does the college fund travel to conferences?

The college provides approximately $1,200 bi-annually to full time faculty for the purpose of professional improvement or travel. Additional funds for part time faculty may be available and should be requested through your division chair.

What forms must I complete to get approval for using travel funds?

Fill out a Prior Approval for Travel form and complete a Class Coverage form if you will miss classes. These forms are signed by your Department Coordinator, Division chair, Dean of Instruction (Professional/Technical or Transfer), and the Vice President for Academic Affairs. If you are traveling out of state or out of the country, the college President’s signature is also required. Restrictions in travel have sometimes been in place during the past years due to state-wide budget concerns.

When you complete your travel, a Travel Voucher form will be required to claim repayment for authorized expenses. Your building secretary can help you fill out this form.
