Where can I find information about benefits that the college provides faculty?

Many of the negotiated benefits are spelled out in the HCEA Agreement. These include sick leave, emergency leave, professional leave, and retirement.

Can my family or I take classes at Highline College at a reduced fee?

Full-time faculty, and part-time faculty who are eligible for insurance coverage, are eligible to take credit classes on a space available basis. Employees should check with the Human Resources Department regarding tuition waivers. Unfortunately this benefit is extended to employees only, not to family members.

The Center for Extended Learning courses and other self-support courses are not covered under the tuition waiver program. For questions about Center for Extended Learning courses please call extension 3785.

When can I register?

Typically, after the tenth day, you can officially register for the courses. You should attend the first class session and notify the instructor of your interest to take the class under the tuition waiver program.
