Recycling

As a state entity, Highline Community College is required to reduce waste through recycling and purchase products made from recyclable materials. We recycle cardboard, white paper, colored paper, aluminum cans, newspapers, glass, toner cartridges, office furniture.

To help our Recycling Program, observe the following tips:

  • Use the recycling containers on campus for recyclable materials, not garbage.

  • Use voice mail and e-mail instead of written memos.

  • Route periodicals, newspapers and memos, where possible.

  • Make double sided copies and use drafts of memos as scratch paper.

To learn more about recycling in your community, check out the King County Solid Waste Division website.

Visit the Highline Community College Sustainability Task Force Web site.
